It’s a mixed-use project situated on the European side in Beyoğlu, Taksim, the beating heart of Istanbul city. It is a major tourist and leisure district famed for its restaurants, shops, and hotels. It is also considered the heart of modern Istanbul, with the central station of the Istanbul Metro network.
The project is exceptional, being the 1st public-private partnership project for urban renewal and the largest one in Turkey. It is based on renewing 9 historical buildings in the most historical district in Istanbul by preserving their values and emphasizing the architectural and cultural features of Beyoğlu.
The project was rewarded and selected as the Best Urban Renewal Project in Europe.
The project is constructed on a land of 20,000m². It consists of 9 island blocks with 7 floors each. The project includes different functions with 52% of the area residential, 12% commercial, 14% offices, and 17% touristic with cafes, restaurants, and cultural institutions like stores and galleries.
The project includes in total 918 units with a size range between 63 and 630 m². It also offers various layouts going from 1+1 to 3+1.
The project is also distinguished for its prominent situation in a vital area, 2 minutes away from the iconic İstiklal street and the imposing Galata Tower. It is also surrounded by many foreign embassies, educational establishments, and cultural institutions. The area is home to Istanbul’s oldest museums and exhibition centers.
In a tentative to illustrate the dynamism and vitality inside the project itself, the designer created a street concept of social activities with many shops, cafes, and restaurants.
The project is easily accessible in a transportation network hub 300 meters away from the Taksim subway station.
